Here some more pictures i made this holiday in Tenerife. The pictures arent that good but the building makes it up!It’s the nicest building i discovered this year!Its a little gasstation in Puerto de la Cruz made by Luis Cabrera. A local architect who was clearly inspired by Pier Luigi Nervi and Felix Candela. This exceptional building combines the two influences. The roof over the gasstation is a star or flower – shell protecting the cars from rain and giving shadow. Its made in the same way Candela made his shells. The workplace under the gasstation has a ceiling with a concrete structure like Nervi made them. So beautiful these fluent lines! This is what conrete is meant for! Soon i’ll show more of his work…
